The Polish-African Chamber of Commerce and Industry (formerly The Polish-African Chamber of Commerce) is an association of businesspersons. It was founded through the initiative of Polish ambassadors, Polish honorary consuls present in Africa, African and Polish entrepreneurs involved in projects in Africa, experts who have worked or are working in Africa, African graduates of Polish universities and economically active members of mixed Polish-African families.
Members of the Chamber have strong business relationships and political contacts in Poland and African countries necessary to initiate and develop businesses in these two geographical areas. The Polish-African Chamber of Commerce and Industry cooperates with institutions and other chambers of commerce in African countries, African employers' associations and Polish think tanks (such as the Polish Centre for African Studies and the CEED Institute). Moreover, the Chamber has strong relations with Members of the Polish parliament specialising in African Affairs, Kulczyk Investments, the Ministry of Economy of Poland, institutions such as the Polish Agency for Foreign Investment (the "Go Africa"), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland, and diplomatic missions in Poland, Europe and Africa.
The Polish-African Chamber of Commerce and Industry creates a business environment with the aim to gather and propagate information about financial markets and the economic conditions to support the economic activity of Polish and African companies. The main role of the Chamber is associating business partners due to cooperating with relevant entities in Africa and Poland.
The Polish-African Chamber of Commerce and Industry operates dynamically. Its members have already participated in state-owned economic initiatives (i.e. the Polish Prime Minister’s, Donald Tusk's, visit to Nigeria and in the Polish-Angolan forum’s visit to Luanda organized by Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland) and in many subsequent meetings, congresses and conferences, which reported on Poland’s investment opportunities in Africa. However, the most valuable contribution of the Polish-African Chamber of Commerce and Industry is the strengthening ties with Polish companies that thanks to us can now slowly plunge into the African reality.
